No cavities? Fissure sealing is the solution! Fissure sealing may be necessary mostly on the chewing surface of the teeth, especially the chewing teeth, where plaque is retained and decay usually starts. Naturally, such indentations may also be present on other surfaces of the teeth. The “plugging” of these indentations with various substances is what we call “fissure sealing”. This is an attempt to prevent plaque from forming in these gaps and indentations from saliva and food particles, which can lead to tooth decay.
In practice, the doctor dries out the surface of the tooth with various separations and applies the substance. There are many different types, some that are smeared on and harden then set within a short time, while more modern materials set when exposed to a special light. Groove sealing and its durability must be checked from time to time.
Our procedure - a unique on is Hungary - is that we use a high-powered special laser to disinfect and sterilize the surface of the tooth as much as possible, of course, using a very high-powered special laser and then cover the tooth with the most modern, so-called light-binding fissure sealant.
